Awana Clubs
AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15), and is an international organization dedicated to seeing children learn about God’s love for them.
At Zion Serangoon, AWANA seeks to provide an atmosphere to help children grow spiritually, emotionally, cognitively and physically through playing exciting games, interacting with other children and teachers, and learning Bible memory verses. Mid-term and end-term highlights keep children engaged and excited about attending regularly and bringing along a friend to share the fun.
Our clubbers meet on 8 Saturday afternoons during school terms from 2.30pm - 4.00pm, and we have 3 clubs catering to children of various age groups.
For 5-6 year olds
For 7-9 year olds
For 10-12 year olds
Each Saturday, we learn God’s Word by heart, one verse at a time, so that each child, no matter how young, will come to know the Lord Jesus and His eternal love for them and their families. The reward system within AWANA affirms children in their handbook achievements and encourages them to be disciplined to make steady progress in learning. Games also inculcate good sportsmanship, teamwork and good character.
We hope AWANA will be a blessing to your child and family.
Sunday School
Our Sunday School programme welcomes all children between the ages of 3 and 12 to join us from 11.00am - 12.15pm. Each Sunday, we gather together to learn the Bible in a way that is engaging and relevant to each age group.
We strive to be Christ-centred, Bible-based and gospel-focused in our teaching. Our vision is for each child to know Jesus personally as their Lord and Saviour, and to share this Gospel with others.
