About R2 Conference

• R2 CONFERENCE stems from the long history of annual Reformation Lectures organised by Singapore Council of Christian Churches. These past lectures serve to preserve the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and point the local church back to the foundations of our faith, the 5 Solas.R2 stands for ‘Rethinking Reformation’, a call for Christians to relook, rethink and experience the beauty of the Word for themselves. The theme for 2024 is ‘Living our lives in light of God’s Reforming Word’ (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Conference Schedule

• Day 1: 24 October, 6:30PM-9:30PM - Dinner, Keynote 1.
• Day 2: 25 October, 6:30PM-9:30PM - Dinner, Keynote 2.
• Day 3: 26 October, 1:00PM-9:30PM - Workshop 1 & 2, Dinner, Keynote 3.
• Dinner will be provided at 6.30pm on 24/10 & 25/10 and 6.00pm on 26/10. Registration Fee includes meals (Except Day 3 Lunch) & a Conference Pack!

2024 Theme

• Our theme for 2024 is ‘Living our lives in light of God’s Reforming Word’. The conference will be held over the Reformation Weekend (24-26 October 2024, Thursday to Saturday) at our premises (3 & 5 Tavistock Ave S555108). We will feature both local and renown overseas speakers including theologians from Covenant Theological Seminary, Drs. David & Tasha Chapman.

Keynote Speakers

• Dr David Chapman
• Dr. David Chapman is a long-time Professor of New Testament at Covenant Theological Seminary and the author of numerous books and articles. He has been one of the primary teachers on the Biblical texts addressing the topic of men and women in church leadership for those preparing for ministry.

• Dr Tasha Chapman
• Dr. Tasha Chapman is Professor of Educational Ministries at Covenant Theological Seminary. She has served in campus ministry and directed women’s ministries in churches both in the USA and England. She is the co-author of two books and contributed to the ESV Women’s Devotional Bible.
